Thanks to all who worked so hard and voted for the successful passage of Article 40 at the Concord Town Meeting. Your support has made a difference for Concord.
CREW is an all-volunteer, grass roots organization working for a complete cleanup of the toxic, radioactively contaminated property of Starmet Corporation (formerly Nuclear Metals Inc.) in Concord, Massachusetts.
In 2001, the NMI/Starmet property was designated a Superfund site by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency because of the depleted uranium, beryllium and other toxic substances contaminating the soil and water on the property.
CREW seeks to inform the public about the contamination at Starmet and the ongoing efforts of the Environmental Protection Agency to remediate the site.
